What I Have Improved And Need To Improve On

1. I learnt how to crop photos and put them on my blog as images on Google Chrome. I’m proud because I wasn’t very confidant with Google Chrome.
2. I think I’ve learnt a lot in maths because I can now turn fractions into decimals, decimals into fractions and both into percentages.
3. I worked well with my partner and made a full online story with illustration. I’m proud of this because it’s a good story and everyone can have a read.

 

 

1. I need to improve on my handwriting because I don’t think it’s very neat and readable. I’ll achieve this by writing neater and maybe practice at home.
2. I need to improve in my basic facts because ever week over and over again it’s always just silly little mistakes. I’ll achieve this by taking sheets home and practicing them.
3. I need to stop tapping my pencil in class because it’s a really bad habit and its disrupting people in class. I’ll quit by not having anything in my hand when someone is talking.

Mum Being Ripped Off By People In Australia

Early in July my mum had got a card from a company in Australia, Sydney and my mum put $600 into it before we went to Australia. They rang us before we went to Australia and told us we could use it anywhere in shops, activities in Australia and even theme parks but when we went to use it the people at the shop said that the card was unusable. So we rang up the company and they rejected us and said too bad so my mum was scammed of $600. >:(

My Reflection On Today

Today I think I did't talk as much but I still need to work on it a little bit more. I finished my lines and did't get any more to do and I have started do write my fnished story.

How Can I Assist My Learning

Today I think I did't work as hard as a i could but i did finish editing but i could not type a good copy because Mr Mckay was to busy.

Tomorrow I have to work fast and give 100% in my work and get my good copy done and start writing my draft for my next narrative.

Also no sit by anyone that will talk to me or i will talk to. I will also make sure I do not go of topic and start doing something other than my

work. Today all I did was finish editing my work and proof reading it with a classmate.

Princess Sean And The Island Of No Return

Princess Sean was lost at sea in the freezing, deep, watery grave. The water was a chilling, dark shade of blue. Sean had nothing on but three pairs of Speedo’s that she had found drifting away in the sea. There were 15 feet sharks all around her craving for meat. On top of that her leg was cut straight open with gallons of blood gushing out which made the sharks want her even more. The extraordinary waves were walloping her in the face not stop and made a loud roaring sound like a bear. Buckets of water speeding down Sean’s throat and salty seafood air in her face. Princess Sean was so scared that she peed in the water witch somehow made the sharks swim away. Suddenly she saw something gleaming in the water and vacuumed up all the air she could and swam down to find out what it was.  It’s had to be at least 50 feet down but she didn’t give up. The bright light grew stronger and stronger until she finally reached it and it turned out to be a trashed and buried old jet ski. Luckily Princess Sean was a mechanical engineer making Jet Ski’s out of materials that could be found on the ocean floor. She quickly gathered all the things she needed and fixed the engine. Then somehow the engine turned on and it dug itself out and floated to the top. She hopped on and about ten minutes later she found a magical Tiki Island. When she had got there she noticed that it was completely deserted. Or so she thought. She took off her Speedo’s and made a skirt and bra with coconuts. She was also an expert sewer and used really thin rocks that were extremely needle like and string made out of herbs that she found in the forest. At night she was wondering will she ever get back home. Will she ever see her girlfriend again? Will anyone ever rescue her? Or what will she find on this island?

Later that morning a group of magical Dragawfs attacked her before she could have breakfast. They poisoned her so she would fall into a deep sleep. Then the Dragawfs took her to their king the great, mighty, tall but short, scarily non intelligent Rustin Reiber. Rustin then told her of the gateway to heaven that she could take to get back home. But like all great tales there was a catch. To gain the key to the gateway that leads to heaven she had to travel deep into the Forest of Tiki Island and gain the liquid of mankind strangely enough Rustin gave Sean the most annoying stare and laughed when he said the liquid of mankind. So to get to this forbidden land it was a perilous journey through the bee hives, the angry dwarfs and the mini missiles being fired at you by Rustin from his evil lair in the condo he owned in his villa up on the hill on a mountain on the island. In order to get to the liquid of mankind something that Rustin left out was that she had to find a secret pyramid that only existed underground for some unknown reason. On her quest she came across a pond the size of a blue whale. In that pond there was a special creature that only existed on this island and was only 1 in the whole world. She spotted a kind mermaid that lived out of the water in the pond. She had lungs that were as big a turtle. This was so she could stay in water for a long time. The mermaids name was mermaidas Saurus it was a name given to her by a crazy man on the street that she found when she was a baby. Mermaidas was the ride that Princess Sean needed to get onto the path to get to the liquid of mankind. Her purpose was to help Sean swim to the secret pyramid and get the waters of mankind but there was a problem. Sean could only hold her breath for 13 minutes and 17 seconds but the swim to the secret underground pyramid took exactly 13 minutes and 18 and a half seconds. Fortunately Mermaidas new of a type of kelp that can make you hold your breath 1 and a half seconds longer so now Mermaidas had to go to the stop n’ shop in the underwater mall and go and buy some. It was a long wait for Sean because there was lots of traffic so it took 17 hours and another thing that Rustin didn’t tell her was she only had 24 hours but Sean found out because while mermaidas was gone Rustin had sent a message that would explode in 1 hour and 22 minutes and half later. The message said that she only had 24 hours. When Mermaidas got back Sean Quickly told her what happened and Sean ate the kelp and they were off. It took 13 minutes and 18 and half seconds but they finally made it and Sean was so happy that he was nearly home. Once they got to the pyramid they got out of the water and went inside ironically there was no booby traps until Mermaidas’ fin slapped a stone and they got stuck in a giant maze. An hour later they realised they had 20 minutes left to get the liquid of mankind but they had gotten out of the maze and they reached a secret room. In that secret room there was nothing but a secret podium and on that secret podium was a secret scroll and on that secret scroll was secret words on those secret words said that the liquid of mankind was actually pee from a human but wait. They had nearly run out of time and the bomb was going in 3 seconds. 3, 2, 1 BANG! The walls started to collapse but they got out with Mermaidas’ super speed witch no one knew she had but they escaped the tunnelling death trap. Then they had to travel all the way back to Rustin’s lair and Sean was so mad that the liquid of mankind was just her pee she went to the bathroom. She got the key and for some reason a parachute too. She said goodbye to her new friend but when she had gotten to heaven they told her that now she had to jump down to earth and now she knew what the parachute was for. Then she had plummeted down to earth but when she landed she had gotten back to the same island. . .

Beginning: Moose one of the main characters decides to dance and go to University.

Middle: The dancers practice place called the Vault is goin to be sold to someone else because they don't have the money to keep it running.

Ending: They win the dance compition and earn the money to pay the bills for the Vault to stay theirs.

Middle: Sadly his wife Ellie died before they could go. Then 80 years later he met a boy and they went together but a man that was already there had trapped them and they were stuck.

Ending: They escaped with the evil mans airship and lived together in the end.

The man crawled out into the freezing fresh air. All he could see was a thick, foggy mist all around him and miles and miles of deep, white snow as cold as my fridge. There were gigantic boulders made of ice and stalagmites growing out in all directions in every cave you can find. They were like giant needles trying to jab you to death. The man could hear nothing but the gust of whistling wind everywhere he went. He had no other feelings but the fact that he could die out hear or being all alone in this terrifying place.

I think a good attacker always looks for space and passes well. They always pass to everyone is well.
Good defenders look for space also and stay in there position and guard the goal.
I think i looked for space really well and intercepted lots of passes.

Weathering can change the surface by eg
- Floods can change the surface of the earth by shifting/moving rocks around.
- Rain can by making the earth soft so it breaks apart also Rain could turn into floods.
- Lighting could zapp things and destroy everything.
- Thunder could zapp things and destroy everything also.
- Tornados could blow and destroy land.
- Cyclones could also blow away rocks and rearange the surface of the earth.
- Twisters could also blow away rocks and rearange the surface of the earth.

Erosion can also change the earth eg
- Water can carve away land.

On the moon it has no atmosphere therefore it can not have any Erosions or wheathering. Although it can change by meteorites hitting it from time to time and make huge craters.

My spelling age now is 14.2 by the end of the year I would like it to be at least 15.5+

To achieve this I will

Reading

My reading age is 13.5 and I scored above the NZ average on the eastlle.

My goal for reading is to get my reading age to 14 years and above.

To achieve this goal I will.
- Read a range of material.
- Issue books from the library.
- Work hard during reading session
- Learn to use a range of strategies.

Attack and Defence

Write what you think good attackers do.
They look for space and intercept passes. Mark people and run around and try to get somewhere someone could pass the ball to you.
Write what you think good defenders do.
Guard the ball and block the ball from hitting the gaol. Mark people and get the ball up.
Write what you think you did well and what you need to work on.
I think I passed well but I need to give everyone a chance with the ball.
